HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH STREAMLINES SERVICES?

 

Since each project is tailored to the individual client and needs, we begin every project with a Discovery Consultation. Here are the steps you will most often experience when working with Streamline.  

 

1. Design Discovery Consultation

We’ll get to know you, your vision, goals, style, lifestyle, and how you want your space to function. Have your inspiration photos and a budget in mind. Following the consultation, we’ll prepare a tailored Proposal & Scope of Work outlining your anticipated design investment.

2. Design Agreement:

Once the proposal is approved, you’ll sign our Design Agreement and provide your design development payment to secure your services and reserve a schedule block for your project.

3. Design Development:

This is where your vision takes shape. We develop a cohesive design plan focused on both aesthetics and functionality, by setting up additional consultation meeting, take measurements and dive in deeper to the details of the project. We will create a mood board if requested and, when needed collaborate with third party architects to create CAD drawings for design intent.

4. Sourcing & Procurement:

We thoughtfully source and present a curated selection of furnishings, fixtures, and finishing details for your approval. Once approved, we manage ordering, tracking, and any shipping issues that may arise.

5. Project Collaboration:

When applicable, you’ll introduce your General Contractor so we can collaborate with them throughout the project to help ensure the design intent remains clear.

6. Project Walkthrough

Once construction is complete, we’ll walk through the finished space with you, identify outstanding details, and use Blue Tape to flag items requiring the general contractors or trades attention before you sign off with your construction trades.

7. Wrapping Things Up

We’ll schedule a final appointment to capture professional photographs of your completed space and review the final project cost and other project details. Seeing your vision come to life is one of our favorite parts of what we do.

8. Share Your Experience

Add On Service: (Added to Step Three)

For larger remodels, Project Coordination can be added to help manage the important project details and free up your time. We serve as your primary point of contact and advocate for the design throughout construction phase.

We’ll review the General Contractor’s scope to ensure they are aligning with the design intent and pricing is fair, monitor their key milestones to maintain project momentum, conduct regular site checks, coordinate sourcing responsibilities, and address issues as they happen to help avoid costly do overs. Project Coordination does not replace or act as General Contractor services. An addendum to the Design Agreement is required to add this service.
